The move between Summer and Autumn can be hard. With colder, shorter and busier days can make it harder to stay on top of your healthy habits.
So here's 8 ways to help make sure that doesn't happen:
1) Vitamin D : We get most of our Vitamin D from the sun, so naturally our intake decreases when the weather is colder. This is why we offer Vitamin D injections from the clinic. Contact us if you feel you are not getting enough Vitamin D.
2) Take time out for YOU: Don't forget to put your health and wellbeing first sometimes. This might include exercise, reading, stepping away from the news, listening to podcasts etc.
3) Boost your immune system: Ensure you are helping your immune system by eating healthy foods and keeping hydrated with water.
4) Pick seasonal foods: Perfect time of year to boost your intake of seasonal foods that are packed with nutrients - these including Beetroots, broccoli, cabbage, kale, pumpkin, broths, roasted squash etc.
5) Stay active! Colder months can impact your motivation but it’s important for your mind and body to stay healthy and happy.
6) Warm up and cool down: When exercising remember to warm up and cool down - this is especially important in the colder months.
7) Healthy habits: Start to implement small daily habits each day to help you stay on track. These do not need to be extreme - just consistent.
8) Be kind to yourself: Yes you may have put weight on after the summer. But who cares. Don't beat yourself up. Turn this around by making small daily changes and respect your body and mind.
9) Condition your body: Whether this is booking in a massage or starting Pilates classes - it's important to strengthen and nurture your body.
