Case History taking
You and your practitioner will go through your case history together; this helps build a picture of how to treat you as an individual and takes into consideration any relevant factors medically, physically and emotionally.
Treatment
A session will always include hands-on treatment, so please be prepared to undress down to your underwear, you may be more comfortable wearing short sports shorts for your own modesty. The treatment may include treating other associated areas of the body, i.e. discomfort from caesarian scar may cause implications in the back and hips that need addressing.
Aftercare and Follow Up
After care
At the end of the treatment the practitioner will usually give suggestions for how you can help your scar between sessions. These factors may include lifestyle advice such as ways to reduce stress or stretches / exercises to do at home to help with pain and discomfort, scar treatments/products you can apply yourself.
Follow up
Depending on the age of the scar can determine how often you will need treatment. This will be discussed with your practitioner.
