Pilates for every body, level and ability in Rochester and Hoo, Medway
“Change happens through movement, and movement heals” - Joseph Pilates
Welcome to City Way Health Pilates!
City Way Health are fortunate to have TWO fully equipped Medway Pilates studios - one in Rochester and the other in Hoo, Kent. We have been running Pilates classes for over 8 years and now offer group, 1:2:1 or 1:2:2 classes in either Reformer, Equipment or Mat Pilates.
But what does this mean for us and you?
Pilates is a fantastic form of rehabilitation for many of our Osteopathy patients and we often refer them directly to our Pilates classes.
Regular treatment with an Osteopath is a highly successful, evidence based method to treat and prevent back pain. However, it is essential that our patients follow the stretch and exercise plans given to them by their Osteopath if they want to stay pain free and hold off pack pain for longer. This is where Pilates comes in - as it is an excellent way to support your Osteopathy treatment and take charge of your own pain management and back pain prevention.

Which class is right for me?
Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is a very precise practice that aims to organise the body and optimise its movements. The low-impact repetitive exercise is famed for its focus on core strength, yet it promotes healthy ranges of motion within the entire body.
Equipment Pilates
These classes use various Pilates equipment including smaller, portable pieces such as resistance bands, Pilates mats and the magic circle and larger pieces of apparatus such as the Pilates Chair. This equipment is used to help you move more efficiently and freely in every move that you conduct.
Reformer Pilates
From Margot Robbie to Meghan Markle…Reformer Pilates has been a growing trend for years. And we’re here for it. The low-impact, mind-body discipline of Pilates is performed on specialist resistance equipment, allowing for a more dynamic, supportive, and targeted workout.
